Mardi Gras is on a Diet!

Yesterday was Mardi's 4 year checkup.

Since last year he has gained 3.6 pounds. Not good!

Poor Baby has to go on a diet.

Normally I would just cut out his treats and walk him daily, but his weight is putting pressure on his Patella and causing him pain.

So, for 2 weeks he is to take a anti-inflammatory and lay low.

Hopefully this help!

When the Vet was telling me all of this I started to tear up. I hate when my babies don't feel good! I can only imagine when my "one day" child is sick. Gosh!

I know some might laugh and say, "he's just a dog" , but I do not have any children, yet.

He's my baby!

This week!

As I post this, I would like to congratulate my best friend Carie on being 13 weeks pregnant!

Her and Travis have had a long road.

We are looking forward to meeting baby Hart sometime close to Halloween!

Monday comes again...

This weekend was Megan's Bachelorette Party.

I was very happy to be a part of Megan's celebration.

We are all looking forward to Joey and Megan saying, I DO!

Brooke, Megan's Maid of Honor put the weekend together.

On Friday we rented a "party bus", it was a lot of fun.

On Saturday there was a little shower at her house.

It was a great time!

Joey is very lucky to be marry this sweet girl!

On Sunday, Eric came home!

E and Joey went over to Tyler for the weekend.

On Friday, staying with his parents and Saturday, spending the day and night at Ray's lake house. From what I hear it was a lot of fun!

Supposedly, someone caught a Huge catfish, but drooped it back into the water?

I still have not seen a picture of it. I will believe it when I see it!

I was so glad to have Eric home. We both agreed that we do not like being away from each other. Yes, we are dorks and still newly weds! Like Eric said, "you are my best friend and I'm your best friend, so maybe we should just do stuff together". ha! Of course this was late into Saturday night when he said this. :)

On Sunday we worked in the yard, grilled kabobs and played in the yard with the dogs.

It was a great weekend!

Great Weekend!

On Thursday night I meet up with Kate for the Shades of Shreveport.

This was put on by Art Space. A local artist made beautiful shades to go over the lights downtown. It was really neat.

Adam meet up with us, we made our way through Art Space checking out all the beautiful paintings.

Afterwards we decided to have a drink and gumbo at Noble Savage.

I really love their gumbo!

Afterwards we walked over to Kate's office.
Kate has a great office DT. She is very important over at Glorioso casting!
Kate is in charge of the casting for two shows at this time.
One of which Jennifer Garner and Nicolas Cage are in.
Kate had to send out her call sheets for the next day, so Adam and I waited patiently.
I actually had a great time checking out Kate's office.

Her schedule is very intense!

After the office we went to Bear's to have a drink.

It was much different than the last time I was there!

No more LSU decor.

Not sure I liked it but, I did enjoy my convos with Kate and my Guinness/Stella mix.

Not long after Eric got home, so I headed home to see my sweetness!

This weekend E was on call. This normally means we hardly see each other.

I am happy to say that this weekend was one of the best on calls ever!

We got to do so much.. together!

Friday we went to dinner with Carie and Travis.

We had a great time laughing and eating.

On Saturday, I had plans to work in my front flower beds.

While Eric mowed I went and purchased tons of flowers.

Once home I had to clean the beds. This took forever! Mostly due to all the pollen that has been falling. They were full of pollen seeds! Once clean, I had to run to Lowe's to purchase dirt.

Of course Eric got called into work at this time.

After many trips to Lowe's and the "flower man" up the road I finally finished!

It took forever and I am pretty sure I will hire someone next time!

Saturday night we watched a movie at home.

Men who Stare At Goats. We both agreed, it was terrible!



On Sunday, I woke up to Eric bringing Krispy Cream donuts in the house.
I asked him if he was crazy?!
Then I grabbed a donut and thanked him for making my morning complete!
Sunday we did not make it to church. With Eric being on call it's really hard.
Our day was great!
I laid on the couch all day and watched Ax Men!! ha! It's really good! Promise!
Around 4 I realized I had not eaten all day.. except the donuts...
I decided since I eaten terrible today, that I needed to eat something healthy, like sushi.
We went and ate dinner at 5!
I am so glad we did not see anyone we knew. I looked a mess.
After "dinner" we came home and did nothing.
It was great!

Gosh, I guess I need to get back to posting!

I mean, Kristen Blair is posting more than me! :)

Nothing is really going on. Just LOTS of work for both Eric and I.

This morning I stalked the neighborhood azaleas. I have come to the conclusion the Coral ones are my fav!

After the game they headed down to New Orleans.

Kate and I were at dinner and decided to send them this picture...

Tonight we had dinner with the Fam at Tacomania.

I love some Tacomania!

During dinner Leyton walked over to me and said, "feel my throat... it's hot"!

As I reached over to feel his throat he said, "I just ate some hot sauce, it makes my throat hot"

hahaha!

Hot to the taste and Hot to the touch must be the same at that age.

Water Please

Here lately Eric and I have noticed a trend.. a restaurant trend.

It happens so much that Eric, who hardly ever reads our blog

said,

"I'm going to blog about this"!

Of course he never did and asked me to.

The trend I speak of is WATER!

When E and I go out to eat we always order some type of cocktail.

May it be wine, beer or something with an umbrella... (not really)

We both work way too much and sometimes need let loose!

heck! I'm not going to explain myself here! I don't have to.

I like wine!

We have noticed that whenever we order a drink they NEVER, EVER bring us a water.

This happens everytime we go out to eat.

We have to ask for water and then most of the times they do not bring it.

Are we in such a time that water has become an costly item?

Bring me my water!

I get parched after I drink my wine!

Easter Weekend!

Our Easter weekend was spent in Tyler, Tx with Eric's family.

On Friday we went to Villa Montez.

It was so good!

The restaurant was very neat.

It use to be a home.

At one time the restaurant was called Mansion on the Hill.

On Saturday morning Sweet Caroline and her parents came over to visit.

I was so excited to get to see her!

I am pretty sure she LOVES me... a lot!

For lunch we had some HUGE Crawfish!

They were the best ones I have had of the season!



After eating we layed by the pool the rest of the day.
I even got a pretty good tan!
The day ended with Karaoke!
We were so tired!


On Sunday, Easter Sunday we headed to church.
The service was great!
The music was great!
A great Easter Service!

After church we had lunch and then headed home.
When we got home E went and bought a chainsaw and power washer.
We got a bit carried away and worked in the yard until 8:30!
We got a lot accomplished!

Haircut Convo...

This week I got my hair cut..

My hair was really long. No, I am serious!

REALLY LONG!!

Long story short, my hair was cut almost 5 inches!

It's still past my shoulders but, if I knew I was going to get that much cut

I would have donated it!

Last night Eric and I had a convo about my hair. It went like this..

...............

me- ugh! I can not believe how much she cut off my hair! Are you sure it looks ok?

e- Yes, it looks good. I like it. It makes you look older!

(said with excitement.. noticed the exclamation point)

me- (silent for a minute) OLDER? What? I am pretty sure that's not what you tell your wife who is unsure about her haircut! Especially one who is getting closer to 30 everyday!

e- (oblivious to the fact I am upset) What? You Don't want to look older?

me- No!

e- Oh? Well, I meant older like, more professional.

me- Professional? Really? Oh, good!
