2nd Trimester!!

Hello All!
We are now in the 2nd trimester!!
We said many prayers that we would get to this point.
I feel like with pregnancy there are many steps. The closer you get to 40 weeks, 36 in my case, the easier it is to breathe.
Figuratively... I am sure Literally it will be very hard to breathe! I can only imagine!
Once you get a positive pregnancy test you are excited and happy, but then you have wait until your blood work comes back to make sure your levels are going up. After that you wait to have your first ultrasound to make sure there is a sac. In our case, there were 2! (I had a feeling the whole time there were 2) Next step is go back in 2 weeks for for a heartbeat check. We were very nervous about this one! After that there are many Doctors visits and ultrasounds to make sure the babies are growing and meeting their milestones. Every week and every Doctors visits we felt we could breathe a bit more. Each time we had an u/s Eric and I would leave all giddy and stare at our sweet babies pictures for the longest time. We knew that the 12 weeks mark meant that our chances of risk would drop dramatically. Once we were there, a weight was lifted off both of us. With each day we feel that the chance of meeting our babies gets greater and greater.
We feel extremely blessed!
We have our next doctors appointment on August 9th.
During our u/s we should find out the genders of the babies!!!
I can't wait!!
I think if I had to wait any longer I would go to one of those ultrasound shops and pay to find out!
Will it be Jon Jon's or Dresses or Both?? Who knows!!
I have had a couple vivid dreams this week and each time the babies are boys!
We already have the names picked out. Still working on the middle names.
We are not really telling anyone what they are right now. Some people are very opinionated!
The 2nd trimester has brought on some good days of non sickness. I am very thankful for that! For the longest time I was sick everyday, all day! I still have days when I do not feel well, but nothing like before! I am really looking forward to getting some energy back!
I'm excited about the next month! So much going on to keep me busy! We have friends coming in, Carie's showers and my Bday (maybe I'll feel good enough to do something)!
Please keep us and our babies in your prayers.
Love!

On the Pregnancy Homefront

The babies are growing and doing very well!
Today we are 12 weeks 2 days.
Yes, I still count the days

We went to the Doctor today and are not scheduled to go back for 3 more weeks.
We have been really spoiled going every week.
This was also the first week we did not get an ultrasound.
We do feel very blessed that the Dr. feels he does not need to see us for 3 more weeks.

When we go back there is a possibility that we could find out what the babies genders are.
We are really looking forward to knowing and of course I am looking forward to doing some shopping!!

Please keep our sweet babies in your prayers!

A little Vacay!

About a week ago we decided to take a trip to Orange Beach
We packed...

and heading down to New Orleans for the night.
We had dinner at The Gumbo Shop and took in some of the views on Bourbon.

The next morning we had breakfast at Cafe Du Monde.
So yummy!
After breakfast we went to the St. Louis Cathedral.
Eric and I may not be Catholic, but we have made it a tradition to always light a candle and say a prayer on behalf of our family.
We planned on taking a carriage ride, one of my favorite things to do in the quarter, but it was way too HOT!
By 10:30 it had to be 100 degrees!

We drove on to Orange Beach.
I figured we might see some of the oil spill, but we did not.
Once we arrived at the condo we made our way to the beach.
The water was said to be closed, but the beaches were not.
There were many people swimming in the water.
I choose not too.
I did get my feet wet.
That was enough for me.

The next morning while sitting on our balcony I spotted 2 sharks and a sting ray!

We later learned that there were over 300 sighting of Marnie life the day before, in Gulf Shores.

Trevor, Eric's cousin bought this kite at the Grocery Store. He flew by our chairs on the beach.

This kite brought up many conversations with our friends at the pool.

One night we had dinner at Tacky Jacks.
It was very good!
It's suppose to be were all the locals hang out.
I would highly recommend it!

We are glad to be home, but miss the beach!
I wish it was closer!
