Tyler Shower Weekend

Last weekend some of the sweet ladies in Tyler, Eric's hometown hosted a shower for the girls.
Everything was beautiful!
I did not get many pictures, but here is one with the hostesses.
We are so thankful for everyones Kindness!
:)
The weekend was a lot of fun! The boys went to Stillwater, Ok for a football game and my MIL, Mrs. Pam and I did a lot of visiting and eating! :)
Oh, we also dodged a tornado!
We had to take cover at a friends house! I was so hungry all I could think about was food! ha!
It was great getting to see all of our Tyler Friends!
Next time we make it over, we will have the girls with us!

Dr. appt.

Today we meet with Dr. Jones, our specialist.

Ruby Claire, baby A weighs 2 pounds
and
Mable Rose, baby B weighs 1 pound 13 ounces!
Their heartbeats were exactly the same, 138.

Everything looks great!
After 3 weeks still holding strong at a 2.7!
Dr. Jones was glad to see that it had not gone down.
Again, anything below a 2.5, he said he would put me on Bed rest.

Today I am 26w5d.
Eric and I were chatting this morning about how in 9-10 weeks the babies will be here!
We can't wait to meet these girls!
Everyday I think about the future, the things we will do as a family, the things we will teach the girls, things they will teach us :)
Instead of thinking about the future, I'm ready to live it!
Sleepless nights and all!
It will all be so worth it!!

On Monday I take my glucose test.
Hoping to pass it with flying colors!
I will also take another fetal fibronectin test.
The one that determinds if I will go into Labor in the next 2 weeks.
Please say prayers for both!

Looking forward to this weekend!
Celebrating a friends Bday, a BF in town and on Tuesday the arrival of Charlie!!
It's going to be a great couple of days!

*we only got a picture of Mable today. She actually finally showed us her sweet little profile.

Negative!

The test that we took on Monday,
to see if my body was preparing to deliver in the next 2 weeks was negative!
yay!
I had a feeling it would be, but you never know.
Everything is in God's hands!
I pray everyday for him to keep his hands wrapped around our sweet babies.
Today we are 25w & 3d.

Gearing up!

We tried out our car seats on the snap n go stroller...

they fit!
The first set we bought were too big. Come to find out graco does not make a double snap n go that fits the snugride 35's.
I am very happy with the new car seats we got. They are so much lighter!
Things are getting done! One thing off our list. 89382 more to go!
:)

25 week Dr. appointment

This morning we had an appointment with Dr. Popwell.
We started off by doing a test to make sure my body is not planning on going into labor in the next 2 weeks. We should get it back in the next 2 days. We are hopping for a negative, which I have a feeling that it will be.
If it is positive then I will be placed in the hospital for 48 hours and giving steroid shots to help the babies lungs develop at a faster pace. Again, I feel that it will be negative... we hope and pray!

Our appointment went great! We asked a lot of questions. Eric even made a comment that we probably ask more questions than any other patient. ha! I think he is right.

My cervix is still at a 2.7. It has stayed the same for a week, which I think is a good thing. Now, just need it stay that way for at least another 10 weeks!

Here are some pictures of the girls....

They are still breech and have their little heads snuggled up close together.

Ruby, Baby A

Their placentas kept getting in the way of us seeing her face. I hope that does not happen when we do our 4 D ultrasound.

Ruby's mouth kept opening up and closing. It was so cute!

Mable was being really shy. She only wanted to show up her cute little ear.

We go back to the Dr. on next Friday. This time we will see Dr. Jones.

Family Shower!

My Aunts and some cousins helped host a family shower for the girls.
The theme was Pinkalicious !
Everything was so cute.. and PINK!

My cousin, Dianna has a cupcake business. She makes the best cupcakes. I was so excited to find out she made these! They were soooo good!
The cupcakes matched the ones from the Pinkalicious book.

Some of the decorations were my dresses from when I was little.
The really small dress was one that I wore home from the hospital. My mom said it was huge on me.
The dresses on the end are ones that I plan to put the girls in one day and at least take a picture.
The smocking was done by Grandmommie and the tatting by my great grandmother.
The family did a great job with decorations!

The soon to be Grandmother's read the book Pinkalicious.
It was my first time to hear it. It's really cute!
This is not a great picture, but did want to show that my mom made these blankets for the girls.
I have been wanting to get Ruby and Mable an Ally Zabba blanket, but when you are buying for 2 60.00 a piece is a bit much.
I think Mom did a great job!
I want one for myself now. :)

Whenever someone in our family has a baby you get a baby blanket. It use to be that Grandmommie and Nanny would make them but, now it seems the torch has been passed on to Aunt Gaye.
Here is a preview of what the blankets will look like.
The embroidery still needs to be finished, as well as the quilting but I already love them!
Such sweet blankets! Ones they will have forever!
I still have mine!
The embroidery is of Kewpie babies. These were really popular back in the day. To go a long with the blankets my aunt got the girls 2 antique Kewpie babies.
They look great on their shelves!
My Aunt Connie makes amazing afghans!
I was so excited to receive 2 of these!
They are so thick and cozy!
We got a lot of great things!
We feel so blessed to have such a sweet and giving family!!!
We hope they stop by day and NIGHT to love on the babies! :)

Babies update!

Today we had an appointment with our specialist Dr. Jones.
Baby A, Ruby weighs 1.6 pounds
and
Baby B, Mable weighs 1.5 pounds.
Dr. Jones was really happy about the way they are growing.
We did learn that my cervix has gone back down to a 2.7. I am to keep watching my activity and putting my feet up whenever possible. We want to make sure it does not go below a 2.5. In 3 weeks they will check to make sure we are not in that range. If we are then I could go on bed rest at that time.

Over all everything is going great!
We did not get any pictures at our appointment.
We go to our regular Dr. on Monday and hopefully get some great pics of the girls!

Please keep us in your prayers! We still have a long way to go!

Friend Shower!

This weekend our Friends hostessed a shower for the girls.
It was a Circus theme shower. They did a great job decorating!
The shower was wonderful!
It's so surreal seeing 2 of everything!

I loved seeing their name on clothes and blankets!

The food was yummy!
To keep with the circus theme they had chicken strips and fries.
There were many other items as well.

I have the best friends!
Thank you girls for such a great shower!
Love you!!

We received some great gifts!
My friend Casey painted these bunny pictures for the girls room!
I love them!!!!!!

The girls got a lot of clothes. They are going to be dressing in style! :)

The shower was great and the weekend was wonderful!
Thank you to everyone that came!

22 wks!
