I wonder how many pictures I take in a week?

They are growing so fast I can't help myself! :)

Hummm, what to wear

This morning I started thinking about what my girls are going to wear in their 3 month pictures, yes, that's right, 3 months!
Today Ruby and Mable are 11 weeks old!
I can not believe it! Time is flying by!
It's so funny because to us they look so big, but to most people they really small.
I guess starting out at 4.2 and 5 pounds makes us think almost 8 pounds is huge! :)

A friend of mine is about to deliver her g/g twins any day now.
It's been making me think about the day the girls entered the world.
Such a beautiful day, beyond all the blood and amniotic fluid.
I always say I now know why the Dugger's have so many children, it's addictive!
You want to experience that joy over and over again!
Not to mention it's so much fun!
Everyday our girls are doing something new.
After their 7 pm feeding we sit on the couch holding them and just stare in amazement at every little thing they do.

Ok, off to find something for them to wear for their pictures.

Weekend!

Please prepare yourself for picture overload!
We have have lots of family that love seeing pics of the girls. I do too! :)
This picture cracks me up! Ruby is always eating her sisters head! ha!
Mable's looking at me like, please help! enough is enough! :)
(Easter shirts are from my sweet friend Julie. She sent the girls tons of goodies all the way from Chicago!)
In the morning time, before Miss Judi gets to our house, we have what I call "school". This is their face as I read to them. I think they are going to really like books.

her eye lashes are so long!

On Friday we went to lunch at the board walk. This was our first public outing!
They looked so cute in the little dresses!

We lunched at Joe's Crab Shack. It was a great place to eat b/c there was room to put our stroller up to the table. It was also great b/c if one of the girls got fussy no one could hear them b/c the music was loud.

After lunch we ran to Carter's to pick up some zip up sleepers. Zippers are my friend! They make diaper changes so much easier!
We walked through Bass Pro. You can see the girls were really into the fish tank!
ha! :)
We came home and feed the babies. After the feeding we headed over to Carie's to play with Charlie.

Saturday morning was spent playing.

Then we headed to Pie Works to lunch with the Hart's. We will defiantly be back. The place was not packed and we were able to enjoy sitting outside, out of the sun.
And the pizza was very good!

Baby Charlie being handsome!

Saturday afternoon my grandparents, Ruby and Mable's great grandparents and my aunt and uncle came to visit.
I wished they could have stayed longer.
It's so sweet seeing them love on our babies!

We were able to get a family picture. This picture took 10 tries!

We really enjoyed our weekend!
Lots of family came to visit.
We ventured out a a public place for the first time, something we will be doing more of.
The girls are doing great with sleeping!
Last feeding is at 7pm and go down around 8:30. Most nights Ruby sleeps through the night, until 7 am. Mable is still waking about 4:30- 5:00 to feed. Every 3 days we reduce the amount she takes at that feeding by half an ounce. She will hopefully be sleeping til 7 within the week. Hopefully! She did sleep through the night on Saturday, but not since then. She is smaller, so it takes a little longer.
Hope your weekend was great!

1st time

Tonight is the first time for the girls to sleep in their own crib. :(
They seem ok about it... so far. It sort of makes me a little sad. I love them being in the same crib. They would stare at each other until they feel asleep. I know looking back we will be glad we made this transition now.
The book we are going by, for our "sleep training", says if you have twins to separate them to get better results. So, here we go.

Weekend!

We had a great weekend!
Many first happened for us and the girls, most of which I did not get picture of, but still want to document.
This is actually a picture from Thursday, but I wanted to throw it in here.
My girl is getting some big cheeks and I love it!
Friday morning started off with a feeding. When I do feedings by myself, I have been putting the girls in their Boppy's, sitting them in front of me and feeding them this way. Pick one up to burp, while the other one eats and so on. It was really hard in the begging to figure out how to do this. I just figured I would tandem nurse and it would work and be so easy... not. I soon found out it was best for me to bottle feed. Thank gosh I was not alone much at first and was able to gradually learn how to feed the girls both, at the same time.
A Friend of mine, who has twins brought these great bottle propers over for us to borrow. These things are amazing! (yes, I sit there and supervise the feeding and would never walk away while they eat) I highly recommend them!

After eating the girls were in the best mood, so we took lots of pictures!

Mable did not want to smile, she just wanted to swing her arms and kick her feet.
:)

and then later on in the day, after I got some work done, we went on a walk.

On Saturday we had our first outing as a family, besides going to the Doctors office.
Baby Charlie was christened and we went to the celebration that was held in his honor. I did not take any pictures while we were there, but Charlie looked soooo cute!
The girls were perfect angles and just hung out in their car seats and snoozed.
When we left there, we stopped by Aunt Judy's house to say hello. We figured since we were out that way we might as well. We were glad we did! We all sat by the pool and visited while our babies were loved on.
We made it home in time to feed.
After the feeding the girls watch their new baby Einstein movie. Ruby really liked it! I only got a picture after they feel asleep.
For the 7 pm feeding uncle Gabe stopped by to say hello. He did a great job with getting 4.5 ounces down Ruby!
Ruby is now on an 8 0z bottle! The bottle is about the size of her, well, it looks it!
(mable pictured)
Mable is drinking 4 ounces and is still holding on to her 4 ounce bottle. Soon she will move on up!
Another thing that changed this weekend, we have been talking of putting the girls on an every 4 hour feeding schedule.
The book we are reading and going by is, 12 hours of sleep by 12 weeks.
We did so starting on Friday. We love it and it seems the girls do too!
They have so much more time to play and digest their food.
Also, this week Ruby and Mable stared a reflux medicine.
I think it is really helping. They were spitting up a lot!
They take it twice a day. They seem to like the taste of it.
Now we count down to another weekend!

"lived in"

Our nursery is what I call "lived in".
You may notice...

*laundry
*2 babies having tummy time while mommy folds clothes.
*a dog that is not suppose to be in the nursery.
*disinfectant wipes (that's a whole other story!)
*a pillow on the changing table, to help the girls not spit up by laying then flat after a feeding.
*a basket full of diapers and wipes b/c the girls have soooo many clothes we have no room to store them in the dresser.
*mylicon
*hand sanitizer
and a hole in all the clutter where Mommy was sitting.

I love our "lived in" nursery!
