Feeling Better!

The last week or so Mable has had a hard time eating. It would sometimes take 2 hours to get 4-5 ounces down her. Eric took her to the Doctor on Saturday and was told it was silent reflux. So we switched her meds and said a lot of prayers.
She had not gotten any better on yesterday, so I took her back to the Doctor. This time we got to see our regular doctor, who we love, Dr. Cockrell.
Come to find out Mable had Thursh. We were given meds and she is already doing so much better! Eating more than she has in days and at a much faster rate! So glad my baby is feeling better!
Here's my 10 pound 3 ounce baby!

Easter 2011

We had a great Easter! The day was started off with attending a beautiful church service. This was the first time for Ruby and Mable to make church. They did great! We finally joined our church. After 3 years we thought it was time! :) We had so many people come up and welcome us as new members. We love our church!

The Easter bunny brought the girls a basket with Pj's, books and a Baby Einstein DVD. They also received lots of goodies from Grandparents and Aunts and Uncles. They are so loved!

(all the candy was gone by church time... daddy?.. ok, mommy too)!

After the church service we came home and feed. There was an outfit change too. Not because of an accident, just because I could not pass up this cute bunny dress!

For lunch we went to Keith and Christi's. We had a great time! I brought cupcakes made by the fabulous Cupcake Queen! She did a great job! They were really yummy too!

After a nap, everyone took turns loving on our sweet babies.

This was one the best Easters! We look forward to next year, when the girls can hunt Easter eggs!
Hope your Easter was great!

Good Good Friday

On Friday we went to the Boardwalk to lunch and do some shopping. We had lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings, hit up the sales at all the children's stores and stopped in Bass Pro for target practice and some cold drinks at the Sonic.

We even checked out the gators on our way to the car.

Once home we were all tired.
The rest of the evening was enjoyed by playing and watching movies.

Hope your Good Friday was a Good one!

One of the books we read to the girls is Wherever You Are by Nancy Tillman
I love everything about this book, but this part is my favorite!!

I hope and pray our girls are strong and know they can do anything they seek to accomplish.

Gymboree

On yesterday we attended our first Gymboree class.

The girls seemed to enjoy it.

We had tummy time in the mirror.

and played peek a boo with scarfs.

(I wanted to ask so badly if they wash these items after each class, but since we were the "new people", I did not want to embarrass my children on the first day of class.
I'll save that for later on in life)
Blew bubbles
and sang songs.

It turned out to be a fun time.

I think we will be signing up for the summer.

........
*Oh, this was also Eric's first time to change a diaper in the public restroom. ha!

He came back sweating.

He's such a good daddy!!

Merlin's Sleepsuit

Be prepared to crack up laughing!

Ruby and Mable have to busting out of their swaddles lately, so I started looking for an alternative.

A friend of mine, who has twins told me about these great suits.

They make it so the baby can not roll over in the middle of the night (a huge worry of mine.. and no they are not rolling yet, but could for the first in their crib), touch their face or make movements that make them wake up.

I was sold after reading the reviews.

I soon placed an order and then had to wait weeks because they were on back order.

We love these things!

The girls start falling asleep as we put their legs in the suit.

They are pretty funny looking!

hahahaha!

Fun Weekend!

We started off the weekend by having Ruby and Mable's 3 month old pictures taken.

They did a great job!

As soon as the camera came out, you would have thought the girls were posing for Vogue.. ok, maybe the Remember Nguyen catalog.

They were pretty excited!

I can not wait to see the pictures!

After pictures, baths and feeding I snuggled with my sweet babies!

(fyi-the dinning room is changing verrry soon. Think fresh and airy)

Mable rocked some tummy time this weekend!

On Saturday I attended a Shower for my cousin.

Grammy game over to visit and help out while I was gone.
There was lots of playing and smiling.. and picture taking :)

Nana came over to visit after the shower as well.

We decided to go and eat dinner at Cantina Laredo.

There was only 1 other couple on the patio.

This is the plus side to 5:00 dinners.

Ruby and Mable played and then feel asleep as we finished our meal.
(side note- I got food poison from my meal. boo!)

Before heading home, we stopped in Buttercups for some yummy goodness.
There were only 5 cupcakes left. We took 3 of them.
Sunday afternoon we had friends over for steaks.

It was Rue and Mae's first cookout!

They were pretty pumped!

They did great sitting in their swings while we visited and ate.

Our weekend was fun and full of some first.

Hope your weekend was great!

4oz no more!

We have packed up the 4oz bottles and moved them to the attic.

Both Ruby and Mable are now drinking out of the 8oz bottles.

"Moving on up"!

Our first night away!

On Saturday, Eric and I had our first full night away from our girls.

Mom and Tim stayed with them while we stayed the Boardwalk.

The Boardwalk has a great hotel! It's a Courtyard Marriott, but super posh!

We spent the day shopping and eating :)

I found some great deals! I was able to get the girls 6 sets of Pj's 12-18 months for 1.67 a piece!

I love a bargain!

We had dinner at Cheesecake Bistro, then hung out in the hot tub.

We will defiantly be going back!

We had a great night away, but were so ready to see our babies!

the only picture we took while away.

(Not sure why that ketchup bottle was there?)

My wine glass looks as big as my face! ha!

3 Months!

Mable and Ruby, you are 3 months old!

The last 3 months have been such a blessing! You both are getting so much personalityand are so funny! Y'all are "talking" up a storm. It's so cute to listen to you just babble. The other day you both were taking turns talking, what I would think "might" be a conversation? I tried to get it on video, but of course you stopped before I could get to my phone.

Mable, you are 9 pounds 1 ounce. 22 inches long.

You are eating almost 5 ounces at each feeding.

You are doing great sleeping through the night.

You want to roll over so bad! As soon as we put you on the floor you go right to your side.

In the mornings when I feed you, you always stare at your closet. It's so funny. I say your counting your dresses. :)

You hardly ever cry. If you do it's more of a squawk, sort of like a pterodactyl.

Mable you are a joy and we love you to pieces!

Ruby, you are 9 pounds 8 ounces. 22 inches long.

You eat a little over 5 ounces at each feeding.

You are a wonderful sleeper!

You love to smile! We always joke that you will win Ms. Photogenic one day, because you can turn on a smile in a second!

You are so ready to roll over. You rock and rock, but can not figure out how to get your leg over. You love to be held and seem to be the more dominate baby.

Ruby, you are the light of our lives and we love you so much!

One of your favorite things to do is lay on the floor and kick.

In the evenings we turn on some music and y'all will lay there and kick, squeal and laugh until close to feeding time.

You are getting so big!
You go to bed after your 7 pm feeding and wake up at around 7am.

You both are very good babies! We feel very lucky.

Ruby and Mable, Happy 3 Months!

you are loved!
