A First!

Ruby had cereal for the first time today. She loved it! :) On next week the girls will be turning 6 mos (crazy!). At that time I will start introducing baby food to her.
Mae has already started food, due to her GI Doctor suggesting starting it early.

Fun filled weekend!

This weekend was party central! We celebrated two birthdays. One for Stowie's 3rd Birthday and the other for Tim's 60th BDay.
This was the girls first time to attend a birthday party. Stowie's party was a princess themed party, so the girls wore a dress with lots of tulle. Here we are about to walk down to Bevin's house.

The party was lots of fun! Stow got 5 million princess dresses! She was very happy!
Tim's party was lots of fun as well. There was lots of family in attendance. Some who have never met Rue and Mae. We stayed the night with Mom, since the party lasted until after the girls bedtime. One of the highlights of the night was a huge bouncy slip n slide. It was so much fun! After we put the girls down Eric and I joined in the fun. I just knew I would sore the next day, but was not.
Our weekend was great! Hope yours was too!

Just found these!

Last night Eric and I were looking at pictures on his phone and came across some that I have never seen.

This one was taken the week before the girls were born. The Doctor allowed me to go outside twice a day to get some fresh air. Gosh, not a great picture, but I wanted to document for Rue and Mae to see one day.

Our sweet girls at 3 days old.

I love coming across never seen before pics!

Fathers Day

Eric had a great Fathers Day weekend. On Saturday we and had lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings. When choosing a place to eat with the girls, we always pick somewhere that is loud, so that if someone cries no one can hear them. :) Wild Wings is great because the girls just look around at all the tvs. Hey, whatever works!
Here is Eric with Mable and Ruby

On Sunday we gave Daddy his gifts. We got him 2 shirts and this cute coffee mug.

I want one!

Our weekend was great! Sunday was very relaxing! We spent the Day showing Daddy how special he is to us. I made him pancakes for breakfast and for lunch we had chicken spaghetti.

Happy First Father's Day, Daddy! We love you!

Chewing on feet?

This morning the girls were playing on their blanket. I looked over to check on them and saw Ruby with Mable's foot in her mouth. That girl will chew on anything! By the time I got my phone she had realized the foot did not taste that great. Ha!

Mable started laughing. She thought it was funny! I did too!

5 months!

Mable and Ruby, you are 5 months old!

You both are getting so big and doing new things everyday.

We love you both so very much!

Mable, you weigh 11 pounds 9 ounces. You may be small, but you are fierce! You have eyelashes for days! You still are very vocal. You love to jabber away. We love to sit and listen to you talk. It's so funny! You love to stand in our lap. You think you are so big when you are doing this. You are rolling over from your tummy to your back. You seem to be getting close to sitting up by yourself. You try and try, but are still falling face first.
You are still not really into eating. It is getting better though. We have you on 2 different reflux meds. You are also on some really fancy formula, Elacare. You eat what you want and then might eat more 30 mins. later. You want to be very independent! You try to hold your bottle, but have not mastered it yet. Getting close! You are still getting baby food, sometimes just once a day. Your favorites seem to be sweet potatoes and pears. You eat four times a day and have at least 4 ounces at each feeding. Your formula is very concentrated, so the 16 plus ounces you get a day is equivalent to you eating 24-25 ounces. You love your sister and smile when you see her.
Mable, we love you!

Ruby, we are not sure how much you weigh at the time, because you have not had to go to the Doctor. I am guessing you are 13-14 pounds. You are still loving your bottle. I know next month when we start you on baby food you are going to love it! You eat 4 times a day and have 6 1/2 ounces at two feedings and 5 1/2 at the other two. You are "talking" up a storm. Sometimes you squeal so loud it scares you. You are rolling over from front to back and back to front. I can walk out of the room for one second and you are across the room. You too are trying to sit up. I think you will have this down pretty soon. You also try to hold your bottle at times, but you are just as content having someone hold it for you. You just started reaching for me yesterday. It's really cute. Makes me just want to pick you up from whatever you are doing and kiss you to pieces. You love your sister and are always concerned with what she is doing.
Ruby, we love you!

The last 5 months have been amazing!

You both have filled Mommy and Daddy's heart with so much joy!

We thank God everyday for our little miracles!

Baptism

On Sunday, Mable and Ruby were Baptised. It was a special day. We had many family and friends there for the service. Our sweet girls did so good! They just looked around and took it all in while in front of the church.

After the service we had everyone over for a brunch.

For thank you gifts, I made chocolate dipped oreos. They turned out pretty cute. They had hearts on the top of them. The tag attached said, We love because he first loved us.

We had lots of food. Quiche, fruit, muffins and lots more.

We worked really hard on getting a family photo, but with 4 people it's hard to get everyone to look at the camera at the same time. :)

Sunday was a very special day!

We thank God for our two blessings!

Sharing... Clothes

The life of an outfit...
This smocked bubble first started off with our sweet friend Stowie. Stowie out grew it and passed it on to the Martin girls.

Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day weekend we had some of our best friends, Kristen and Kyle come in to town. The Blair's are a lot of fun! We miss them so!! Everytime we are all together we talk about the "good ole days". Ha! Those memories make me tired. :)
On Saturday Grammy and Papa came over to watch the girls while we hung out with friends. The Blair's stopped by and saw Rue and Mae before we headed out. Kristen even helped with a feeding! She is a pro at feeding a baby who wants to roll in your lap and crawl up you (rue).
We meet friends at Country Tavern for dinner and then went and had drinks at The Cub.
I did feel a little old, but it was fun to sit on the patio and catch up with friends.

Here's a group pic of some of my besties. Carie left right before taking this pic.

We were home by 10:30! ha

On Sunday we went to Sha Sha's, Sharon's house for a little party.
It was a great time!

On Monday we did nothing! It was great! I kept the girls in their PJs all day and I did so myself.

Great weekend and really loving the fact that the weekend is almost here again!
