Phone pics

I'm sure I take at least 20 pictures a day. Some are me just trying to get a baby look in the direction of the camera. I'm telling you, it takes 10 tries to get an ok picture.
Here are some from the last couple weeks.

Wearing their Dallas Cowboy shirts.

Being silly before bathtime! Love those sweet babies!

Mable's new smile! Ha! She closes her eyes and shows all of her gums. It's so funny! Oh, and she wrinkles her nose at the same time.

Ruby watching a video with Daddy on the computer. She was bouncing up and down because she was so excited about the video.

About to head to school

Taking an afternoon walk.

Playing with their toys

Ruby showing off her teeth

Mable has been pulling off her patch here lately. She use to never do this. When she does she scratches her face. The scratch sort of looked like freckles.

Eating baby food on the blanket in the living room. Something they will not be allowed to do when they get older :)

We got an umbrella stroller to keep in my car, so running into stores is a bit easier. The girls seem to like it!

5:00 dinners!

Mommy and my girls before bedtime

Playing outside this afternoon. This has become one of our favorite things to do as a family.

Mom's of Multiples!

Our MOM group had our first night out on Friday! It was so much fun! It's so nice to talk to other moms who are going through the same things as you! We had a big group that came. Every time we get together I get more excited about our next get together! In the group pictured we have a total of 24 1/2 babies!

This picture was taken after half of the Moms had left. If all were pictured we would have 37 1/2 babies between us all!
That's a lot of diapers!

Looking forward to our next get together, a play date!
Should be fun!

First Cold!

Ruby and Mable have their first cold. Boo! I figured with starting school and being around new surroundings they would get sick. We already planned on going to the Dr. to get flu shots, so it all sort of worked out.
At the Dr. the girls got weighed. Ruby is 16 pounds 10 ounces and Mable 14 pounds 9 ounces. There is still a 2 pound difference in them.
Ruby's nose started running first and then Mable's. Dr. Cockrell gave us a prescription for cold medicine. I went ahead and started them both on it when we got home.

You could tell they did not feel good, because they were a little fussy, so I put them in their pjs and we just lounged around the whole weekend. The pjs they are wearing were the first thing Eric and I bought once we found out we were having twins, besides a million "how to" books! At that time we did not know if they were girls or boys.

I thought they looked cute in their special pjs!

Seems like they thought so too!

I'm glad the girls are starting to feel better!

Phone Pics

Ruby is always trying to grab Mardi!

Just being sweet!

We stand the girls up in the crib and they just laugh! They think they are so big! It won't be long before they are pulling themselves up!

Cute booties!

Ruby holding her bottle!

Playing outside! The last week the weather has been amazing!

Mable has been wearing a patch on her eye, because her right eye has been drifting. I took her to the eye Dr. and they recommended patching. It helps the weak eye build up strength. He thought the patching should fix the situation. I can tell it's making a difference. We patch only 2-4 hours a day until Oct. 11 when we go back to the Dr.

Tonight we had dinner at Jason's Deli. I did not bring anything for the girls to eat, since it was not close to feeding time. Well, they saw us eating and wanted something! Being the Mom of the year I am, I gave them a pickle! They loved it!! They just sucked on it. It kept them very happy! A win win for us all!

30!

A couple weeks back, on August 25th, I turned 30! I'm excited about my 30's!! Life is good! I feel extremely blessed to have such great people in my life!
Eric and I stayed at the Boardwalk, while my Mom and Tim watched the girls. Eric and I planned on doing some shopping and maybe laying by the pool. We stopped in O'Brians to have a drink, and there were my best friends, yelling Surprise! I was definitely Surprised!

Like I said, I am blessed by all the wonderful people in my life!

First day of MDO

On Tuesday the girls had their first day of "school". They go to Mother's Day Out on Tuesday's and Thursday's from 9:30 to 2:00. The night before I packed their bag, laid out their clothes and put together a gift for their teachers. I also wrote out their schedule and measurement info. for bottles. We were set for the big day!
I promised myself I would not cry, and I didn't. I did get a little sad when I started thinking about how this was a milestone, a first of many.

On Tuesday the girls seemed really excited about the start of school!

When we dropped them off they were laughing and smiling. They were doing the same when we picked them up. The teachers said they had a great day! I was worried about the teachers getting the girls confused, on who is who, since they both drink a different formula. Tuesday and today I sent them to school in outfits with their name on them. As of today the teachers said they now know who is who. There are a total of 6 kids in their class. Meaning the Martin's take up 33% of it! :)
As of today Ruby has a runny nose. Something to be expected after the start of school. We go to the Dr. tomorrow for flu shots, so we will have her checked out then.
First week of school was a success!

Great Grandparents Visit!

Nana, Wylie P and uncle David came to visit. We loved having them in town!

On Sunday we had breakfast at Cracker Barrel, then they made their way back to Oklahoma.

On the way to the car we got a picture of Mae and Rue in the rocking chairs. They thought they were big stuff in them!

We loved having our family come and visit!
