Today we went and visited the Easter Bunny! The girls loved him! Ruby even tried to take his glasses off. This was the first year for meeting the furry guy.

These girls are everywhere!
2 weeks ago we were in Shreveport for work. I meet my boss there to see clients and Eric rode in the field with a Coworker. Mom normally watches the girls while we work, but she had an audit at work that day. Mrs. Judi, our Nanny from Shreveport, came and watched the girls. I know she misses them! While watching them Judi wrote down everything the kids did. It was funny to read.

These girls are everywhere. They are more than a handful of pure fun! They
didn't drink quite all of their bottles. Mable went to her high chair about
8:45, so I assumed she was hungry. They both ate good, Ruby more than Mae. Mae
got into the fire log starter box, so I stood it up against the wall hoping she
won't get back into it. She opened the glass on the fireplace, so I put the
ottoman in front of it. She wouldn't stay out of the end table drawer so I moved
the ottoman in front of it. I'm hoping she will continue to forget about the
fireplace doors. She kept getting into a drawer that wasn't rubber banded, so I
remedied that with what might be the last rubber band in the house. She pulled
over one of the folding chairs making a very loud noise, making my heart skip a
few beats waiting to see if there was a scream to follow. Nope, she's just
standing there looking so I take all the chairs and put them in the pantry.
10:00 got here and they took a nap, Ruby longer than Mable of course. Ruby gets
up with a stinky diaper went thru on her clothes so I dressed them. They drank
some of their bottle. Mable tried to get the phone off the end table, couldn't
reach it, being the smart child she is, took her bottle and knocked the phone
off with it and it falls behind the table. She comes around to the front of the
table, gets down face to floor, sees the phone and looks at me, says UH OH!!!
Oh my, now Mable has found the phone she knocked off. Gotta get it before she
invites all her friends over. Can't have that, my hands are more than full!!!
Ok, Mable is stinky now. On the way to change her, I see she has dripped milk
from her bottle all over the floor. Sorry Nana :(
Ok, I'm sitting down for now.......not for long, where is Ruby's bottle? Oh
there it is in the chair that has a puddle of milk that is dripping on the
floor. Sorry again Nana, maybe Pop will mop for you when they go home.
Aww Rue is over here loving on me. Mae sees this and comes to give me some lovin
also. Ok Mae, all is forgiven. I love u girls!
LOL now Mae is trying to pour Rue's bottle into her bottle and Ruby is speaking
very excitedly in an unknown language, gosh she jabbers a lot! Lol!!
Oh my goodness Mae got in my lap and Rue beside me and we rocked a while, sweet
sweet girls. I sang the song to them that I made up when they were young and Mae
wouldn't take her bottle. It's our secret song Mommy. They both looked at me and
smiled. I'm sure they remember.
It's a whole different young and restless!! Lol! Formerly I watched Y and R
while feeding them, now they ARE Y&R!! They are back to burning energy.
We had lunch. A new dish, green pea pancakes! Appropriate for the nearing St Pat
Day!! Also chicken sticks, peaches and a few corn puff treats. They ate pretty
good. Cleaned their chairs and.... Where did they go? Ruby? Mable? Oooops,
forgot to close the laundry room door. Mae has a handful of lint, Rue has the
dust pan. Ok girls, back to the living room to see what you get into next.
A few attempts at the fire log box then back to the kitchen.
Well now we have been on the floor for quite a while playing and loving and
it is now naptime. We were having so much fun and WE weren't ready for naptime.
Once again I have to say goodbye to these precious babies. Those hugs they gave
me when we were playing will have to last me until the next time I get to see
them. I sure hope it won't be long.
Melissa, I dearly love your girls. Please let me enjoy them again soon. You are
doing an awesome job with this family of yours, and how do you also hold down
a job???

so welcome. Your family is a treasure that I know you couldn't be any prouder

Fun Saturday!
Saturday we went to The Woodlands Crawfish Festival. It was a beautiful day!
The crawfish was yummy, the band was good and the girls had a great time!
We took them out of their stroller and let them walk around. Well, we held Ruby's hands and helped her a bit.
The girls even did a little dancing!

On the way out we ran into the crawfish. Of course we had to get a picture. The girls were done by this point, but once we got home Mable did not want to nap. I guess she was still in the festival mood! :)
That night we had a new babysitter come and watch the girls while we went to dinner to celebrate our anniversary a little early. We had a great dinner! Afterwards we walked around some of the shops near by.
Our sitter brought us a cake she baked. How awesome is she? Eric tried it and said it was really good! We actually gave the girls a little bite the next day.

Bluebonnets
This afternoon we took the the girls to Creekside Park to take pictures in the Bluebonnets.
Ruby was not a fan of sitting in the grass, but we were able to get a couple pictures.

After taking pictures we went to Rico's for dinner! The girls chowed down on some tortillas! It was a fun family Friday!

We love Daddy!
Everyday when Eric gets home from work, the girls hear the garage open and run to the gate at the top of the stairs. They wait patiently until Daddy comes up the steps to give everyone hugs and kisses.

Rodeo
Yesterday the girls had their first rodeo experience! We went with Kristen and Caroline, and the Dad's meet us there, since they had work meetings.
Mable and Ruby seemed to enjoy themselves. Our first stop was the muttin' bustin. This is where a child rides a sheep. Hum. It was interesting! The girls could not see, but did enjoy all the clapping.

Naked Babies
When Daddy is out of town and I give give baths there are a lot of naked babies running around.
It takes a minute to get one dressed and move on to the other. So far no accidents! It's a lot easier when Daddy is home!

Ruby is really into books, especially this one, Mirror Me. On every page there is a mirror. Ruby likes to put her face in the book and laugh.

First Hibachi
This weekend the girls had their first Hibachi experience. They loved it! It kept their attention the whole dinner. I think we will be back!
