Once back in The Woodlands I meet Eric at the house and we headed down to the Waterway to meet with with The Blair's and wait for the arrival of friends, Bevin and Miles.
It was so nice having "our people" with us, in our town.
Here's some pictures from Thursday night.
Friday we lunched at MiCocina and shopped while waiting for Carie and Joey to make it in town.
After their arrival we headed to Baker St. Pub for darts and drinks. It was so weird having all this free time without kids. We all enjoyed ourselves.
Friday night we had dinner at Cru, a wine bar at Market St. We had a private room all to ourselves. It was nice.
They surprised me with a cake and singing. I have the best friends!
Saturday was our favorite day! The night before I made Paula Dean's praline french toast casserole, with the help of Eric and Joey of course. :) We had breakfast at the house and got ready and loaded up for the lake. Kristen offered to drive us there and back, which was so sweet!
We rented a pontoon boat and hired a driver to take us around lake Conroe.
We would get out a swim for a while and then cruise some more. While heading back to the marina the sky got dark and it started pouring as we were getting out. It was actually quite comical.
Saturday for dinner we had steaks and yummy sides. We all helped with the cooking like we always do.
We surprised our friend Miles with a LSU cake for his birthday, which followed a couple days later. The irony is he is a huge Bama fan. We all got a big laugh out of it!
That night we sat on the patio and told lots of stories from days past.
Sunday, It was sad to see our friends leave, but Eric and I were ready to see our sweet babies!
They had a blast with Nana and Pop in the country!
Can't wait until our friends come back to see us!
We are thinking of making this an annual event!
On my actual Birthday, August 25, Aunt Jen and Uncle Shawn watched the girls so we could go to dinner. We went to Geuwine, a wine bar by the house. We had a great time celebrating!
So far 31 has been good!!
