Our Friday

Our Friday in pictures...
We got home from school and Mable and Ruby helped Daddy put our pumpkin by the door. It's huge! Check out Rue's hair!

We went to Rico's for dinner and the girls did not want to sit in the highchairs, since we were the only ones on the patio we let them sit in a "big girl" chair. They did great! This is not something we could do at a busy restaurant.

After dinner the girls played on the patio. I even caught a pic of them holding hands!

And giving love!

Once home we gave the girls a bath and turned out the lights for a fun glow stick bath. They had a blast doing this! Need to buy more glow sticks!

Love our fun family nights!

Art!

The girls have been bringing home a lot of art projects from school. I decided to get a file folder to store them all in. I'm trying to be organized! :)
This is them showing off the pictures they made in Children's Church. Although they would not face them towards the camera! :) We kept turning them around and they would turn them back to look at them. Silly girls!

Yes they have on two different color bows. I thought I had two white bows in their didper bag. Nope! Just 2 hot pink ones, a yellow and white one, so we improvised.

Aquarium

Last weekend was the first weekend and pretty much the last until December that we do not have plans. I am sure as December gets closer our calendar will start to fill up. I guess it's nice to be popular! :) ha! Joke!
We decided to go to The Downtown Aquarium. We had a blast! Not just the girls, but Eric and I too! The girls had some first while there. Here are some pictures.

First time on a Carousal! They both were not a fan!

The second time around they sat in our lap on a chair. They liked it much better this way!

First train ride! The train took you through the Shark Exhibit. So neat!

We decided not to eat there because the girls were so tired. They were out not long after leaving.

The Aquarium was great! It could be an all day event! We are already talking about going back!

Pony Tails!

The girls hair is finally long enough for a top pony tail! Yay!

Loftin Reunion

September 14th, Friday morning early, we headed out to Duncan, Ok.
We were looking forward to our first Loftin together in 3 years. We have seen our Grandparents, Aunt and Uncles, but not cousins, their wife's and new children. The drive is about 6 hours, but we took our time on the way up. We left at 6:30 am hoping waking the girls early would make them want to take an extra long nap. We stopped close to lunch time at a Taco Bell that had a great play place. We let the girls play and eat in the car. We also made a stop for gas and diaper changes. We made it to Duncan in about 7 hours. Once there we checked into our hotel and set up the room with pack n plays and a play area. We reserved a suite to insure we had enough space for the girls to roam. Afterwards we headed to Nana and Wylie P's to see everyone and enjoy a delish dinner Aunt Cindy made. Saturday morning, after breakfast, we headed to the Simmons Center where the little ones played.

It was fun to see R&M play with their cousin Brody. It was the first time they had ever meet.

After playing inside we walked over to a Cattle Drive that was going on at the Chislium Trail Cowboy Museum.

There were long horn cattle and many tents of people cooking in Dutch ovens. It was really neat to watch!

Checking out one of the Long Horns.

After lunch everyone naped. Afterwards we headed back to the Simmons Center and park so the girls could run free.
That night we enjoyed burgers and homemade ice cream. Ruby and Mable had a great time playing with the toys we played with when we were little. It was like going down memory lane going through the toy box/blue laundry basket.
I made sure to take a picture of the twins with the twins! :)

Sunday morning we had breakfast in our room...

Packed up and then headed to church. Nana and Wylie were excited to show us all off to their friends! We meet lots of their friends during morning coffee. They were all so sweet and talked about all the pictures they see of Mable and Ruby. :) Church was wonderful! Afterwards we headed to the Country Club for lunch and pictures. I can't wait to see how they turned out! The girls were tired so they were not really into picture taking. :)
We left Duncan around 2:00 and made it home at 9:00. It was a long day!
We had a wonderful time in Oklahoma! It was so nice to see everyone and catch up! We are looking forward to our next get together!

Tyler Weekend!

Labor Day weekend we headed to Tyler for what we told Ron and Pam was going to be a relaxing weekend. Little did they know we had a surprise party planned for them to celebrate their 60th Birthdays and 40th Anniversary.
On the way we stopped at Buc-ee's to pick up kolaches for breakfast the next day.
The girls loved shopping in the store. As much as they loved the Buc-ee's pillow pet, we settled for miniature beaver.

Friday morning we headed to the Tyler zoo.

Where we feed birds and checked out the animals.

They have really grown since the last time we were there.

Before leaving we stopped by the petting zoo. Mable was all about petting the "dog", Ruby not so much,

Grammy and Papa got the girls a kitchen with all the accessories!
They had a great time playing with the coffee pot.

Saturday morning we took our time getting ready for the day. We put the girls down for an early nap without anyone noticing.

To get out of the house, so friends could prepare for the party, we lunched at Fat Cat's.

We love going there! The food is great and there is a Juke box! Always a plus!

Ruby and Mable love to dance and entertain everyone!

Once back at the house Ron and Pam were surprised by friends and family.
Jennifer then surprised them by telling them cutting the cake would reveal the gender of their 3rd grandchild.
We all saw pink! Lots of happy faces!

We spent the rest of the day visiting with guest, and Mable spent it trying on everyone's shoes. :)

Sunday we finally had the relaxing day we had talked about! We spent all afternoon in the pool playing with our girlies!

What a great Labor Day Weekend!
