Cookies with Santa

Saturday we went to Cookies with Clause. It was so much fun! I thought we would just eat cookies and take pictures, but there was so much more!
We have been talking about Santa for a while. We have watched Santa movies and showed the girls pictures of Santa. We would ask them questions such as... Do you want to go see Santa, no. Do you want to sit in Santa's lap, no. Do you want Santa to hold you, no. We should have known from the answers to these questions that pictures would not go that well.
At first we took a picture as a family to warm them up.

Then we gave the girls to Santa and walked away.
Ha! Poor babies! I think this is a typical almost 2 year old picture.

After the Santa drama, we moved over to the fun photo frame. Ruby was still upset and did not want much to do with it.

Mable was all about posing!

Daddy helping make ornaments.

Mommy and Ruby making a Gingerbread.

Daddy and Mable working on theirs.

And eating Icing!
Note: they ate a couple bites of these cookies the next day. They were wired!!! Ruby was dancing around saying, shaky, shaky!

Scooping up their Reindeer food for Christmas Eve to put outside.

Showing off their handprint reindeer plates.

So proud! They kept highfiveing the plates!

Later on at home, reading. Ruby's favorite past time.

What a great day! Christmas is going to be a blast this year!

Love making memories with our babies!

God Is Good!

One year ago Eric and I came to The Woodlands in search of a house to start our new adventure. During our time here we lunched at P.F Changs. At the end of our meal we opened our fortune cookies and this was the message I received. Today, almost to the date, I lunch with my husband and received the same message! Taking a leap of faith is scary at first, but moving to The Woodlands has been the best decision we have ever made! We of course miss our family & friends, but they are only hours or a phone call away. Since our move we have meet some wonderful people and found a church that we love! God is Good!

Lazy Day

Pictures from our lazy day!

A new place to play?

Phone Pics!

Princess Ruby!

Princess Mable!

The girls love to have snacks on the floor. We did this one day when I realized a patch of raspberries were about to go bad, so I sat on the floor with them and we had a picnic. Now they love to have "picnics".
Here they are eating hummus and cherry tomatoes. Notice the shoe in the background? Mable got that out of my closet and walked all around the house in it. These girls love shoes!

Ruby was pushing Mable around the house and the next thing I notice she is pushing her into the wall? Hum! Mae thought it was funny!
The cat Mable is holding was a door prize at a MOM meeting. She loves that thing! When she was sick recently she would ask for it and nap holding it.

Watering the plants at Grammy and Papa's. Princess 1(a) and Princess 2(b).

Cool Cat Rue Claire!

Looking at the Christmas Catalog!

Sweet faces!

A couple Sundays ago I had a dentist appt. Yes, my dentist sees patients on Sunday! I love that! During my check up I got this picture from Eric. :) Outside in their pjs, checking things out! ;)

Daddy brought us donuts!

Ruby wanted Daddy to taste it first.

Swinging at Nana and Pop's!

Flu Shoots! They did great! Thank goodness, because I was by myself!

Watching it rain! I loved doing this when I was little.

Halloween!

This Halloween was so much fun! The girls had a blast passing out candy and trick or treating at the neighbors houses.
Last Friday the girls school had a Storybook Book Parade, in lieu of a Halloween Party. All children dressed up as their favorite book character. The girls love Elmo and we have Elmo books, so it worked out. I looked online for the costume I wanted, but it would have been over 70.00 for both of them. I then realized I could make them myself for around 15.00. They turned out pretty cute!
Here are some pictures from the Parade!
Mable with one of the helpers in her class, Mrs. Jennifer.

Ruby walked all by herself! :) ha!

Showing off their Elmo books and not looking at the camera!

R&M brought pumpkin cookies for all their friends to share.

And goodie bags filled with bracelets and bubbles.

Friends eating cookies. Ruby is on the left and Mable in the back, towards the Middle. She was chatting with Makenna's mom. :) I'm sure asking, "what is that"?

Halloween! Getting ready to visit the neighbors. We went to about 6 houses.

Playing with the goodies for trick or treaters. This year we passed out Rice Krispy treats, granola, pencils, Quaker Oats bars and trinkets. I did not want to be stuck with chocolate I would eat. :) Fortunately all the goodies were given out.

Ruby happy about staying up late and playing outside!

I'm sure the fun size candy bar was also part of these smiles! It was a first!

Like I said, Halloween was a lot of fun! I'm sure it will be even better next year!
Kids make everything better!
