Happy 2nd Birthday!

Mable & Ruby, on this day 2 years ago you came into the world. Mommy and Daddy were so excited to meet you, as was a whole room of family and friends. I can't not put into words how much you mean to us. Every second, of everyday, we are grateful God choose us to be your parents. We are so proud of the little girls you have become; so smart, thoughtful and full of wit.
We can't wait for all the fun year 2 brings us! You are loved, you are loved, you are loved.

Christmas Eve & Day

For Christmas we had everyone to The Woodlands. Both sides of family came. I love that we are one big happy family!
Sunday, the day before Christmas Eve, we went to church to thank God for all he has blessed us with and celebrate the birth of Jesus. Mom & Tim seemed to like our church. We love that we have found a great home where every Sunday we leave filling full of his grace.
Sunday night we headed to Market Street for Mexican food and to watch the dancing Christmas Tree.

Christmas Eve we hung out around the house cooking and playing with the kiddos. Before heading over to Jen & Shawn's house we opened presents from some of the family. The girls did a great job at tearing the paper and making sure it went in the trash. They would tear, and then walk across the room to Pop and put the trash in the bag. The girls got lots of great goodies, so did Eric and I!

After opening gifts we had dinner at The Kirby's house. It was a traditional Martin menu, chili and oyster stew and lots of appetizers, oh! And wine! They were also making Ritas with Ron's new blender. Look at all of those boys starring at this machine!

The girls opened more gifts from family and played with their toys.

Once home it was bedtime for the girls and Santa came!

Christmas morning, waiting to go downstairs!

And here they come! Got to love Eric's attire! :)

The girls loved everything Santa brought them! They really loved their kitchen! In the mornings they start asking for "cooking"! That's what they call their kitchen.

Love Mables expression!

We had a fun day of exchanging gifts and eating. We had a wonderful lunch prepared by all.
After the girls naps Mable woke up pretty grumpy. I could tell she was not feeling well. She was pulling at her ear. Nothing made her better unless I could get her to sleep in my arms, and that was only for minutes. Once I realized it was her ears I put drops in them and she felt a lot better!
In the middle of the day we remembered that the girls had not seen the playhouse Santa brought them. We did not stay outside long since Mae was not up to par.

Later on we said our goodbyes to family so they could head home. We ended the day watching our girls "cooking" and laughing.
What a great Christmas!
*the next day Mable was treated for a double ear infection and was better that day.

Christmas Lights

Phone Pics

Caught! We now have the drawers secure! :)

Every time we would have the girls stand by the Christmas tree, Ruby would stand next to her favorite ornament, a crawfish.

Typical!

Bringing their chairs to the tree. They did a great job of not messing with it much. All ornaments on the bottom were none breakable.

Daddy love!

Walking into school!

Off to see our friends!

This was hilarious! we were trying to get the girls to smile and Ruby leaned over and whispered, Santa Clause! :)

Looking at lights in the neighborhood. You can tell it was a warm night!

Only picture I have of the tree.

Sassy girls!

Cooking! "I cooking"!

Friends!

Sweet sisters!

Ruby taking pictures of herself.

Not a fan or the fireworks!

Huge Fan of fireworks!

Watching the Rose Parade with their babies.

Mae found this backpack in the closet and had to wear it and had to wear it to dinner! :) it was as big as she is!

First Dentist Appt.

At the first of December the the girls had their first dentist appointment. It was just a check up to make sure all is well in their little mouths, and it was.
The office was so neat! The girls loved playing with the iPads!

Ruby even tried climbing the rock wall! Ha!

The dentist was so sweet and made the whole experience very comfortable for the girls.
