Car Pimping

Driving through the great town of SB, you might notice cars that are decorated by various graphics. I have always wondered if the owner of these cars does this out of passion for the product or if someone is paying them for this oh so ridiculous paint job.

I decided to take it up on myself and do some research to get to the bottom of the Hawaiian Punch mobile.

I come to find that "Product Pimping" is all the rage! The owners only do this for the love of the product and for the hope of being placed in one of the many car magazines.

The automobile above has made a nice attempt to promote the red sugary juice but, by no means will they be making the cover of Low Rider!

I have attached links where you can find the best of the best Hawaiian Punch Machines.

My Phone Is Ringing As I Type..

I am writing this bit to vent about how some people are just ridiculous!

Whenever you make a call to someone and they do not answer please press # and leave a message; they will call you back. As I say in my voicemail, "I will gladly return your call".

Calling and Calling and Calling does not make the receiver of all your calls call you back any faster. Actually, to tell you the truth if you call me more than once, back to back I will take at min. 15 minutes to return your call. Here are my reasons for the delay..

1. If I return your call back now or answer one of your 10 phone calls, I would have nothing nice to say and the phone call would be completely unproductive.

2. I would assume that you are calling me a million times because you are mad about something and are ready to yell! The 15 mins allots for a cool down time.

3. If I do not answer I am generally on the other line, trying to complete the task of another 10 phone call client.
I am busy and will gladly return your call!!!!! Do you not listen to my message!?!?

Ok, I feel a little better and now have some calls to return.

... disclaimer- this only a rule for clients.. Friends and Family can call as much as they would like. :)

Family comes to visit!

This past week my favorite cousin Lauri and two of her children came to visit. Danielle and Matt would have loved to come but, school and work made this trip impossible.

Eric and I had such a great time visiting with everyone! Brendan and McCarthy are so stinking cute! While Lauri was here she cooked some amazing dinners for us! Such as Braised Short Ribs with Pasta Noodles! Delicious! Eric also did some cooking on his new grill!

The Daly's will be moving back in June. We are so excited to have the kids close so we can spoil them! :)Ha! Eric and McCarthy look alike now!! :)

Brendan decided he was tired so he layed down under my rug but, not before taking his sisters doll. Sweet boy!!!

out with the old and in with the new!

Today I have allotted my time to cleaning out my cabinets! Over the past 4 years, 2 roommates, a new husband and all of our kitchen crap my cabinets are in shambles!

With getting married comes all the wonderful wedding gifts from our very generous friends and family! Until now most of them have set in the "man room" still in there packaging.

I vowed to take on the kitchen! Getting rid of the old and putting in the new. My brother Gabe will be purchasing his first house in a couple weeks. So all of my old well, gently used items will be sent his way.

I started by washing all of my new items before putting them in the cabinets. Once done I went through and threw away tons of junk. All that was recyclable went into the blue can! After this was done I started adding my new items to the shelf's.

Gosh, I am so glad this is over! I can not wait to use our new plates, cups and serving dishes!

I guess now it's time to have a dinner party!!

a life of board games and miniature golf??

Let's face it, we are all getting older and thank God for that! I would really hate the alternative!

Today I was talking with my dear friend Carie and she was telling me how bored she has been lately and how there is just nothing to do! I totally agreed! Days of meeting for happy hour at 4:30 (that was me, the others would show up at 5:00) parting at multiple locations, lastly showing our faces and amazing dance moves off at the local "hot spot" Fats is just a thing of the past.

These days going out means hitting up the local Karaoke Bar, Tiki Tavern. Walking in where everyone knows your name and your poison of choice. A couple weeks ago we decided to have some friends over to the house. This is always a lot of fun for Eric and I. We love our sweet friends! As we were sitting around the table someone brought up the idea of playing a board game! So, us girls went inside and got everything all set up to play. The game was boys against girls.. the girls Won!!

Playing the board game was a lot of fun but, gosh it gave me a little glimpse into our future. A future that everyday gets closer and closer. Is this what we will be doing in a couple years? All sitting around playing board games? I am not sure my undiagnosed ADD can take it!

I think next time we all gather as friends I am going suggest we all go play miniature golf! I think this will be a lot of fun! I even think the guys would be really excited about it. I guess I am just trying to prepare myself for the day when playing Scrabble, going out for ice cream and watching movies at a friends house are normally weekend activities. Oh!!!!!

* ha, could you imagine me playing Scrabble!!

Here is a nonrelative pic to my post.. Eric and Memphis last night. Notice Mia's hair!

I hope this is not addictive...

Hello All! This is my very first Blog and I really have no idea what the heck I am doing! I am sure soon or later I will figure out all of the technical stuff! The fact that there is a spell check here to help me with my horrible spelling makes me feel a little better! (yes, I just spell checked technical)

My name is Melissa Loftin Martin, I am newly married to my very best friend Eric Martin. We have two precious four legged children named Mardi and Memphis. Our days are spent by working lots of hours. Eric works in the Oil and Gas business as a Sales Rep and I work as an Ae for a Mortgage Lender. We live for non on call weekends where we can enjoy each others company, visit with our wonderful friends and eat way to much food at Sunday lunch!

Our life is really not that interesting but, I am going to try to document all that is and some of what is not.

I have posted some pics of our diddle (little) family.

Eric and I, our first full day being Married Brunching at Hemingway's in Florida. We were hungry! :)

Mardi and Memphis like to keep me company while I am working.
