Today we took Mae back to the doctor to have her ears looked at again. She still has an infection in one if them. We are now on new meds. Praying this will work! Poor baby!

Happy Valentines!
This was Mable and Ruby one year ago today on Valentines Day. So sweet and still!

These are the pictures I tired to get with all their Vday loot. Still sweet, just not so still.

They crack me up! The girls loved all their goodies! Ruby laid in the floor and "read" her cards.

Mable got in on the action too!

Daddy surprised us with flowers, balloons and a stuffed animals for the girls. He's so good to us!

Tonight we are celebrating at home with Spaghetti Bolognese.
Happy Valentines my favorite little girls!

Mardi Gras 2012
We went to Shreveport for Mardi Gras this weekend. As always, it was a blast!
On Thursday, when we got in, we meet family at Jan's for dinner. It was so good!
Gabe and Ruby Claire

Friday I went and visited with clients and passed out Kingcakes. I was also able to have lunch with some friends, before meeting our photographer for the girls One year old pictures. That night I went to dinner with some of the Mom's of multiples. It was nice to see everyone! I miss those girls! Eric went with his cousin Trevor, Makayla and some friends for burgers.
The next day we said goodbye to the girls and headed to the parade. We tried to get a picture like we did last year with our sweet babies, but they were not into picture taking.

Mom got this picture of us saying goodbye. :)

It was cold out, but we stayed bundled up and inside a lot at Bevin's. It was bittersweet because this was the first year that we did not live by the parade.

The parade went backwards this year. I really liked it that way!

I had a lot of fun helping Stowie catch beads. She got so many stuffed animals!
That night we stayed at Joey and Megan's. The next morning I planned on sleeping late since the girls stayed with Nana and Pop. Of course I woke up at 7:15! This happens every time!

We heading back to Mom's and were able to be there when the girls woke up from their morning nap. I missed them so much! Next year we plan on taking the girls to the parade. I know they will love it!
Before we headed back home the girls opened their Valentines gifts. They love some tissue paper!

Back to the Dr.
I took Mable back to the Doctor today. She has not been acting like her happy self the last couple days. She had finished all of her Amoxicillin she was given for her cold and ear infection. Today the Dr. noticed her ear infection had not cleared up all the way, and she had a little bit of a sore throat. Poor baby! I'm glad I took her in! I took Ruby with me too. She checked her out just to make sure she was on the mend. Ruby's ears are better. Mable left with a new prescription, something stronger. Hopefully this is all the ear infections we have for a while!
This was the girls picking up the prescription at Kroger. They liked the double car cart.

Phone Pics
My lunch partners!

Sunday Brunch

There is a Mexican restaurant is our neighborhood. The girls will eat a whole tortilla themselves there! They love them!

Mable's new smile

We go to the park almost everyday

The girls love to be outside!

Trying to get a picture in their overalls. One would smile and the other not. They went back and forth doing this.

Bath time!

The girls run laps in the tub now.

Just some of the million pictures I take a day. :)

12 Months!
Ruby and Mable, you are 12 months old! In a couple of days you will be 13 months. I can not believe it! No, seriously, I can not believe you are 1 year old!
It seems just like yesterday we were in the operating room waiting to hear your first cries, looking at your sweet faces for the first time, feeding you at all hours of the night, cheering you on as you finally hit 10 pounds, watching you learn to sit, hold your bottle, crawl and even getting ready for your first steeps! The last 12 months have been full of so many amazing first. We are looking forward to this next year. This year is going to be a blast!
You both are still drinking out of your bottle... opps! :) You were doing so good before the move, but now will hardly even take a sip out of your cup. We have tried every kind under the moon! It will happen, oneday. You both are great eaters. Your favorite is chopped turkey. We are always giving you something new to eat. Whatever we are eating, I always give you some to try. Your schedule now is, 3 serving of milk a day and 1 serving of juice, with food 3 times and at least 1 snack. You have really noticed each other lately and want to play with each other more. You really like to chase each other around the house. You are still good sleepers. You go to bed between 6:30- 7 and wake up around that time the next morning. Sometimes you are really sweet and sleep close until 7:30. This makes me very happy! I am able to have coffee and check my emails before getting the day started... or even sleep in! We notice when we are tickling one, the other laughs more, than the one getting the attention at the moment. It's like they feel each others excitement. So cute! Everyday is an adventure!
Mable, today you took 4 steps! I really think by this weekend you will be walking all over the place. You love your milk! Thank gosh! We were so worried about you for so long. Its nice to know you will actually drink what we give you. We are still adding 2-3 ounces of Pedisure to your bottle to help with weight gain. You are still small, but you would never know it! You love to clap, smile and talk. You say all kinds of words now. Mostly you say, hello. When you are tired and fighting sleep you will repeat every word you know, multiple times over and over. You have your four top teeth and four bottom. You are now getting a molar in on the top right hand side. Your favorite toy has to be my phone. Even though it is not a toy. If you see a phone you will go 90 to nothing across the room to get it.
Mable, I am so glad God choose us to be your parents and you to be our daughter. We love you so much, baby!
Ruby, you are a ham! You have the cutest giggle and sweetest smile. You wear your heart on your sleeve. You get your feelings hurt easily, but get over it easily too. You have your own language, although you can say plenty words. You talk sort of gibberish. You will say a sentence, Daddy and I will look at each other and just bust out laughing. Pretty soon I have a feeling you are just going to start stating full sentences. You too have four top teeth and four bottom. I checked today and did not see any new teeth coming in. You have been acting like your teeth hurt, so there might be one that has not broken through yet. Your favorite toy is a wand. It's a plastic wand with gel and confetti in it. You love that thing! You really like to throw it down the stairs to see how far it will go. The other day I caught you, Daddy and Mae doing this.
Ruby, you bring us so much joy. We are so blessed to be your parents. We love you, pumpkin pie!
Happy 12 months to the two best little girls I know!
