Tyler Weekend!
Labor Day weekend we headed to Tyler for what we told Ron and Pam was going to be a relaxing weekend. Little did they know we had a surprise party planned for them to celebrate their 60th Birthdays and 40th Anniversary.
On the way we stopped at Buc-ee's to pick up kolaches for breakfast the next day.
The girls loved shopping in the store. As much as they loved the Buc-ee's pillow pet, we settled for miniature beaver.

Friday morning we headed to the Tyler zoo.

Where we feed birds and checked out the animals.

They have really grown since the last time we were there.

Before leaving we stopped by the petting zoo. Mable was all about petting the "dog", Ruby not so much,

Grammy and Papa got the girls a kitchen with all the accessories!
They had a great time playing with the coffee pot.

Saturday morning we took our time getting ready for the day. We put the girls down for an early nap without anyone noticing.

To get out of the house, so friends could prepare for the party, we lunched at Fat Cat's.

We love going there! The food is great and there is a Juke box! Always a plus!

Ruby and Mable love to dance and entertain everyone!

Once back at the house Ron and Pam were surprised by friends and family.
Jennifer then surprised them by telling them cutting the cake would reveal the gender of their 3rd grandchild.
We all saw pink! Lots of happy faces!

We spent the rest of the day visiting with guest, and Mable spent it trying on everyone's shoes. :)

Sunday we finally had the relaxing day we had talked about! We spent all afternoon in the pool playing with our girlies!

First Day of Toddler 2!
August 27th Ruby & Mable had their first day in the Toddler 2 classroom.
Their new teacher is Mrs. Ann. She is really sweet, and from what I hear one of the best teachers GC has.
In the new class R&M nap on a nap mat. We practiced laying on it prior to starting school. The girls would laugh and say, nite nite, then get up and flip it over. I was worried about how they would do when it was nap time.
As of today, 2 weeks in, they are doing great and napping an hour to an hour and half on their mat! It's crazy to me that they sleep on the floor, but they do it!

We took lots of first day pictures before heading to school.

You can tell they were really excited!

Once there, Ruby ran towards the books and Mable ran up to a friend a waved.
Eric and I stayed around for a minute making sure they were happy before quietly making our exit.

They had a great first day and are loving their new class!
We are too! Every week they learn a letter and a number. They have PE everyday. Not sure what they do, but they have to wear closed toe shoes, so no more sandals. They have chapel once a week where they sing songs and hear bible stories. They also have a music class, art class and of course go outside every morning.
In their class, including R&M, there are 3 sets of twins!
It's going to be a fun year!

Mable trying out her nap mat before starting school.

We love salsa!

And Ice Cream!

Cuties!

Break at the pool! Grammy and I took them during one of the weeks they were out of school. We wore them out! Long naps followed! :)

Finally letting me put a bow in their hair and keep it in! This was at the schools open house night where we meet their new teacher, Mrs. Ann.

The welcome board in their room, with all their friends name on it. Not all of the kids go everyday.

Ruby riding her pony and reading a book, like it goes hand in hand.

Biscuit break! True Southern Girls!

Checking out the birds at Pet Smart.

Waiting to pick up Mardi and Memphis from the Vet.

Grammy was watching the girls and noticed they got really quiet for a minute. She walked around the corner and found this! Ha! Sitting in their doll strollers, drinking milk!

Mommy and my sweet girls!

Papaw came to see us!

Dinner at Babin's

Typical family picture! ;)

They loved their beads! Ruby puts hers on everyday, still! They are going to rock Mardi Gras!

This is what Mable does when we say, give sister loving. She leans in and they hug or kiss. Of course my fancy iPhone did not get a picture of the actual kiss.

Another loving picture. Ruby not having it.
